Company History
EMC began in 1911 as an association of business people providing workers’ compensation coverage to Iowa manufacturers and today is one of the largest property and casualty companies in Iowa. Headquartered in Des Moines, EMC Insurance Companies provides insurance products and services through 16 branch offices and 4 service offices across the country, in partnership with over 3,200 independent insurance agencies.
