Company Overview
HazTek Inc. is a leading provider of comprehensive safety management services designed to protect workers by enhancing workplace safety. Partnering with companies to eliminate accidents and create a culture of safety reduces costs related to accidents and improves employee productivity and morale. We specialize in full-time on-site safety management, safety audits and inspections, site assessments, corporate health and safety programs, exposure monitoring, and OSHA compliance safety training.
Our clients are primarily engineering and construction firms that support pharmaceutical facilities, refineries, power plants, aerospace sites, automotive manufacturers, pulp/paper firms, and heavy industries; environmental remediation companies performing hazardous waste site cleanups; and dredging and marine services.
HazTek services customers nationwide with office locations in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and Gulf Coast. We currently employ a total of 220 employees including 180 full-time, salaried field professionals with various certifications and experience levels. As our market reach expands, our reputation and guiding principles remain the same. We are a full-service, objective safety partner that protects people, property, and the environment.
Company History
HazTek Safety Management was founded in 1997 by Bruce Henderson, Principal and Steve Jones, Principal
Bruce and Steve co-founded HazTek Inc. in 1997, growing the company from a small regional temp service to a National Safety Management Firm with over 300 full-time employees who provide safety training and consulting services to clients in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Bruce Henderson, Principal
With more than 26 years of experience, Bruce Henderson’s extensive insight into construction safety, training, contractor safety management, and corporate culture development enables him to manage and act as a technical advisor for HazTek’s team of safety consultants. Over the years he has assisted numerous clients in developing top-notch safety programs.
Steve Jones, Principal
Steve Jones has been working with companies dedicated to preventing worker injuries and illnesses for the past 26 years. As Acting CEO, Jones handles HazTek’s business management side and is responsible for the company finances and the controlled growth of the business while identifying new markets and expanding the company’s geographic reach and services.
